(ENG) I've always been surrounded by dogs. My father was a breeder of Norwegian Elkhound. Even as a little boy I tried to teach these dogs how to behave in the show ring, it was not easy considering that they spent most of their time hunting.
My desire to have my own dog came early. I remember once on the bus on the way to school I saw an old lady walking her dog. It was the most beautiful dog I had ever seen. And guess what!! It was a collie. I think that even then I could feel the magic that only this breed can give with its great beauty, intelligence and charisma. I was in love. After some years of persuasion I got my own Collie. I was 14 years old. Today 26 years later I can look back on a part of a lifelong love. My breeding has resulted in World winners, top winning Collies in Sweden and several champion titles in different countries. 2010 I became an authorized FCI judge on Smooth and Rough Collie, Bearded Collie and Shetland Sheepdog and last year the Miniatyr Schnauzers. When you read this I hopefully has finished some breeds from the sighthound group. I look forward to visiting your beautiful country and to see some beautiful dogs. (FI) Olen aina elänyt koirien kanssa. Isäni kasvatti norjanharmaitahirvikoiria. Jo pienenä poikana yritin opettaa näille koirille kuinka näyttelykehässä käyttäydytään. Se ei ollut helppoa, ottaen huomioon sen että ne käyttivät suurimman osan ajastaan metsästäen.
Halusin jo varhain oman koiran. Muistan kerran kun olin bussissa matkalla kouluun ja näin vanhan naisen kävelyttämässä koiraansa. Se oli kaunein koira minkä olin koskaan nähnyt. Ja arvatkaa mitä!Se oli collie. Luulen että jo silloin tunsin sen taian minkä vain tämä rotu voi antaa kauneudellaan, älykkyydellään ja karismallaan. Olin rakastunut. Muutaman vuoden suostuttelun jälkeen sain oman collien. Olin silloin 14-vuotias. Tänään, 26 vuotta myöhemmin, voin katsoa taaksepäin tähän osittain elinikäiseen rakkauteen. Kasvatustyöni on tuottanut Maailman Voittajia, voitokkaimpia collieita Ruotsissa, ja useita valionarvoja eri maissa. 2010 sain tuomarioikeudet pitkä- ja sileäkarvaiselle collielle, partacollielle ja shetlanninlammaskoiralle ja viime vuonna kääpiösnautsereille. Kun luette tätä, olen toivottavasti saanut myös oikeudet joillekin vinttikoiraryhmän roduille. Odotan vierailuani kauniissa maassanne ja toivon näkeväni kauniita koiria. (ENG) Owned first collie 35 years ago. Permanently I have been involved with breed Collie for last 22 years as breeder and exhibitors under prefix name of kennel – Lidok's.
My basic and most important goal at breeding is to breed collies with strong and stable charachter and exclusively standard type. Unfortunatelly we have very big problem in Europe at moment, existing two very different types of collies »modern type« for me personaly totally not acceptable type of breed, and »classic type«, wich is based on standard. Personaly I fight for the correct – standard type as much as possible. I have been judge since 2002. My first licence breed was of course Collie. At moment I have licence to judge next complete FCI groups: 1, 2, 3 and 8. I have been judging in almost all European countries and South Africa, many time also specialities for British Sheepdogs, specially for Collies. In 2012 I was judging at World Dog Show in Salzburg including Collies. I have been president of Slovenian British Sheepdog Club since 2004. As a judge I am also involved in breeding commissions for British Sheepdog, I am president of the breeding commission for Belgian Shepherds, Doberman, Rottweiler and Great Danes and member of breeding commission for Flushing dogs from FCI 8 group. (FI) Omistin ensimmäisen collieni 35 vuotta sitten. Pysyvämmin olen ollut tekemisissä rodun kanssa viimeiset 22 vuotta kasvattajana ja näytteilleasettajana kennelnimellä Lidok´s.
Tärkein päämääräni collien kasvattamisessa on kasvattaa collieita, joilla on vahva ja vakaa luonne sekä oikea rotumääritelmän mukainen rotutyyppi. Valitettavasti meillä on Euroopassa tällä hetkellä iso ongelma, koska on olemassa kahta hyvin eri tyyppiä olevia collieita: »moderni tyyppi«, joka minulle henkilökohtaisesti on täysin ei-hyväksyttävä rotutyyppi, sekä »klassinen tyyppi«, joka on rotumääritelmän mukainen rotutyyppi. Henkilökohtaisesti taistelen oikean tyypin puolesta niin paljon kuin mahdollista. Olen ollut tuomari vuodesta 2002. Ensimmäinen rotuni oli tietysti collie. Tällä hetkellä voin arvostella kaikki rotuja roturyhmistä 1, 2, 3 ja 8. Olen arvostellut lähes kaikissa Euroopan maissa sekä Etelä-Afrikassa, usein myös brittiläisten paimenkoirarotujen erikoisnäyttelyissä, erityisesti collieiden. 2012 arvostelin Salzburgin Maailmanvoittaja näyttelyssä muun muassa colliet. Olen ollut Slovenian Brittiläisten paimenkoirarotujen yhdistyksen puheenjohtaja vuodesta 2004. Tuomarina olen myös mukana Brittiläisten paimenkoirarotujen jalostustoimi-kunnissa. Olen belgianpaimenkoirien, dobermannin, rottweilerin ja tanskandoggien jalostustoimikuntien puheenjohtaja sekä ryhmän 8 ylösajavien koirien jalostustoimikunnan jäsen. (ENG) I am a breeder of rough Collie and Shetland sheepdog with prefix Crony. The kennel was founded by my late mother Ulla Eriksson in 1958 and I was born into the dog life in the early sixties!
During the years we have bred many champions in many countries in both breeds, we have bred the record holder in the collie breed, also collie and sheltie “of the year”. In 1993 the kennel got the highest award from the Swedish Kennel Club, The Hamilton-plaquette. I have been a member of the board of Swedish Collie club and also of Södermanlands Kennel Club. I became a judge 1991 and have up to date been judging in 12 countries including Championship shows in England and Australia. I am a groupallrounder FCI group 1 and have nearly 2/3 of breeds in group 2, also Dalmatians and Cavalier King Charles spaniel and Tibetan spaniels. My other interests, beside dogs, are skiing downhill, cats, being home and together with my family of course and last but not least swimming and to follow my sons progress as an elite swimmer. (FI) Kasvatan pitkäkarvaisia collieita sekä shetlanninlammaskoiria kennelnimellä Crony. Edesmennyt äitini Ulla Eriksson perusti kennelin 1958 ja minä synnyin koiramaailmaan 60-luvun alkupuolella!
Vuosien kuluessa olemme kasvattaneet useita valioita monissa eri maissa, molemmissa roduissa, rodun ennätyksenhaltijan collieissa, sekä Vuoden Collien ja Vuoden Sheltin. Vuonna 1993 kennel palkittiin Ruotsin Kennelliiton korkeimmalla kasvattaja-palkinnolla, Hamilton-palkinnolla. Olen ollut Ruotsin Collieyhdistyksen sekä Södermanlandin Kennelkerhon hallituksen jäsen. Minusta tuli tuomari 1991 ja olen tähän mennessä arvostellut 12 eri maassa, myös championship showssa Englannissa ja Australiassa. Olen kaikkien rotujen tuomari FCI-ryhmässä 1 ja voin arvostella lähes 2/3 ryhmästä 2, sekä Dalmatiankoirat, Cavalier Kingcharlesinspanieliet ja Tiibetinspanielit. Koirien lisäksi olen kiinnostunut laskettelusta, kissoista, kotona olemisesta perheeni kanssa ja viimeisimpänä mutta ei vähäisimpänä, uimisesta. Seuraan poikani edistymistä huippu-uimarina.
